History

Headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Continuing Education Unlimited (AKA - CEUINC) was established in 1997 to provide continuing education for Medical Laboratory professionals. As an educational leader in our industry, our goal is to provide quality educational materials at the most cost effective price to our customers. Established and managed by medical professionals in the industry, we understand the need to provide current material that is interesting to the reader. We also realize the need to offer flexible options that are user friendly, as well as, cost effective.

Innovation

Having established one of the first websites providing interactive course materials for Laboratory professionals, CEUINC is always looking for ways to provide innovative new technologies to assist our customers in obtaining their CEU credits. We try to streamline the process to make it as easy as possible to earn your credits, access your educational records, reprint certificates as needed, and track your educational history with our company. We also provide complementary reporting to group managers and specified educational reporting agencies.

Offerings

We currently offer flexible solutions that allow our customers to choose between Textbooks, Online, Homestudy course options. All of these options come with a variety of ordering choices to accommodate both your personal budget and your professional requirements. With over 100 laboratory titles to choose from, we offer one of the largest selections of courses in the industry. To remain a leader within that industry, we are constantly searching for new authors and new course titles to add to our list of available materials. From that search, we are able to provide a new list of offerings to our customers every two years.

Although our clientele range from individual customers to large corporate clients, our focus remains on specializing in providing educational offerings to laboratory groups both large and small. We recognize the urgent need to offer an educational solution to busy laboratory managers and directors. Management

At CEUINC we understand the importance of knowing the current trends within the industry that we service, therefore, we constantly seek out authors and other professionals to help build our course curriculum. Instituting a team approach, our management staff works with these industry professionals to continually create new offerings for our customers.

Laboratory Program Administrator

With our company since 1998, Deborah Buckley, MBA, MT(ASCP) is our acting Program Administrator. Prior to joining the management team here at 4CEUINC, Deborah was the Laboratory Manager at a privately owned Medical Lab in South Florida. In addition to her management experience, she also brings experience as a generalist in the laboratory, specializing in Microbiology & Hematology, and has taught Microbiology at a community college during her 30+ years in the laboratory industry. Her Responsibilities at CEUINC include:

  • Participating with a team of professionals to review & approve new course material.
  • Managing group accounts.
  • Authoring various laboratory courses.
  • Managing director for Jobs4Lab.com and Jobs4Nursing.com

Meet Brandy D. Gunsolus, MS, MLS(ASCP)CM. Brandy earned a BS degree in Chemistry from Southeastern Louisiana University, a BS degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center - New Orleans, an MS degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from Rutgers University, and has nearly completed the Advanced Practice Doctorate in Clinical Laboratory Science from Rutgers University.

Brandy has eleven years of laboratory management experience and is currently the Director of Laboratory Operations for Claiborne Memorial Medical Center in Homer, Louisiana.

Deborah L. Buckley, MBA, MT(ASCP)

Meet Deborah L. Buckley, MBA, MT(ASCP) she is the Program Administrator for Continuing Education Unlimited's Laboratory Division. In addition, she is also the Managing Director of www.Jobs4Lab.com and www.Jobs4Nursing.com, both Continuing Education Unlimited companies. Deborah received a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from Florida Institute of Technology in 1983 and a Master's Degree in Business Administration in 1995.

Prior to joining the management team at 4CEUINC, Deborah was the Laboratory Manager at a privately owned Medical Lab in South Florida. In addition to her management experience, she also brings experience as a generalist in the laboratory, specializing in Microbiology and Hematology, and has taught Microbiology at a community college during her 30+ years in the laboratory industry.

Donald Dunbar, PBT(ASCP)

Dunbar

Meet Donald Dunbar, PBT(ASCP). He currently resides in Arizona, where he is married with two boys.

Don began his Phlebotomy career in 2009 when he became a Phlebotomist at a large medical center in central Pennsylvania. In 2011, he was promoted to a Phlebotomy Instructor position where he taught and trained Phlebotomists in the hospital setting. He was then promoted to a Technical Specialist in Phlebotomy spending several years in that position until moving to North Carolina. In North Carolina he was hired as a Phlebotomy Supervisor, also serving on the Sepsis Protocol Team. In addition to the Supervisor position, he also taught Phlebotomy, Anatomy and Physiology, and Medical Terminology at the local college. In his current position, Don now serves as a Product Specialist with Phlebotomy Equipment, where he also teaches and trains others in the field. On the side, he also likes to teach Basic Life Support classes.

Donna Rayborn, MT(ASCP)

Meet Donna Rayborn, MT(ASCP). Donna is the Section Supervisor for the Hematology/Coagulation, Urinalysis and Immunology Departments in the Laboratory at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial (FHFM) in Orange City, Florida. Her primary duties include supervision of each area, inventory control, training personnel and maintaining personnel competency assessment. In addition to her supervisor duties, she serves as the Laboratory Education Coordinator and has participated in several CAP inspections. Donna has been employed at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial (FHFM) as a supervisor since 2005.

Prior to working for FHFM, Donna worked at Health Central Hospital (HC) in Ocoee, Florida from 1987 until 2006. During her time at Health Central Hospital she served as the Laboratory LIS manager, Weekend Shift Supervisor as well as Laboratory Education Coordinator. During her time at HC as the Education Coordinator she authored over 20 CEU courses.

Judy Hemans, MS, MLS(ASCP)CM

Meet Judy Hemans, MPH, BSMT(ASCP) is currently the Quality Manager at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL.

She has also served in the positions of Blood Bank Supervisor and Senior Technologist in South Florida facilities where she performed routine and advanced immunohematology procedures, prepared material for CAP & AABB inspections, developed standard operating procedures, and compiled CAP checklists. Judy has also served as an instructor at Keiser University teaching and assisting in curriculum development in the areas of Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Serology/Immunology, and Immunohematology.

Katrina Billingsley, MT(ASCP)SBBCM

Billingsley

Meet Katrina Billingsley, MT(ASCP)SBBCM, she is a graduate of the Louisiana State University Medical Technology program and the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) SBB program.

She is the supervisor of the John J Moulds Scientific Support Services Laboratory at LifeShare Blood Centers in Shreveport, LA. Her primary duties include supervision of the molecular testing department as well as serving as the education coordinator for the LifeShare SBB program. Katrina has presented at several educational sessions and is active in many blood bank organizations including AABB, SCABB and ICII.

Kyle D. Mills, MLS(ASCP)SH

Mills

Meet Kyle D. Mills. MLS(ASCP)SH, he received his degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Kentucky, home of #1 Kentucky Wildcats Basketball! While at the University of Kentucky Kyle played trumpet in the marching band and basketball pep band, travelling the country with their teams. Once graduated, he began working full time in the laboratory profession. Kyle also taught in the MLT program at a local community college and later went on to be the primary faculty member for the program. After working as a generalist for several years he took the Specialist in Hematology exam from ASCP and began to focus much of his work in education around hematology and blood banking. In 2014, Kyle entered medical school and will graduate in 2018. After medical school, he plans on pursuing training in Hematology & Oncology.

Linda Williford Pifer, PhD, SM(ASCP), GS(ABB)

Meet Dr. Linda L. Williford Pifer, PhD, SM (ASCP), GS (ABB). She is currently a professor with the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.

Dr. Pifer is a graduate of Ole Miss and has earned her doctoral degree in Microbiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. She spent six years at St. Jude where she and her team were first to successfully cultivate Pneumocystis jiroveci in vitro at the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. She was also a member of the original NIH AIDS Working Group and established the diagnostic Virology Laboratory at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. Dr. Pifer has over 60 peer-reviewed scientific publications, several of which have appeared in the Yearbooks of Pathology, Clinical Pathology, Cancer and the Pediatric Digest.

Pamela F. Inglish, MT(ASCP)SBB

Inglish

Meet Pamela F. Inglish, MT(ASCP)SBB. She has 30+ years of experience in the medical laboratory sciences having completed training at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University. Subsequently, she obtained the Specialist in Blood Banking certification through AABB/ASCP.

For the majority of her career, Ms. Inglish held positions of responsibility in hospital transfusion services, blood centers, and clinical stem cell transplant processing laboratories and has also sold clinical lab diagnostic equipment and reagents. As part of her most recent position at the University of Cincinnati/Hoxworth Blood Center, she teaches immunohematology to undergraduate and graduate students as well as post graduate physicians. Personal interests include reading, walking, needlework arts, and spending time near the ocean.

Copyright Notification

Recently, many publishers and authors have begun to strictly enforce their copyrights on written and intellectual material. Intellectual material can include such items as CD ROMS, internet-based works, video, etc and basically covers a variety of intangible assets in the literary, artistic, and music fields. We have been requested by the publishing companies and authors that hold the copyrights to works that we distributed to notify our customers of these laws.

As a company who distributes some third party applications and writings, we are required legally to notify all of our customers that they must strictly obey all copyright laws on materials that hold a copyright, trademark, or patent. Copyright laws are stringent and penalties for breaking those laws can be excessive, including fines of up to $250,000 and 5 years in prison and these laws are being enforced.

General Financial Polices

Payments We Accept

Accepted Credit CardsWe accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover credit & debit cards. If ordering by mail, you may also pay by Check, Money Order, or Cash (for cash, we recommend you insure the package against loss).

All credit card transactions placed on our website are processed through a secure server. For security reasons, we do not save credit card data for future purchases, so each time you place an order credit card information must be provided.

Returned Check Fees

There is a $35 fee for all returned checks. This fee is in addition to the original amount of the items ordered. If a check is returned to our office for non-payment, you may not pay the balance with another check, but rather must submit either a money order, cash or credit card payment. Unpaid balances > 30 days will result in forfeiting of your contact hours until the complete balance is paid in full. Ongoing, unpaid balances may result in collection actions, for which there are additional fees associated from the collection agency.

Facility or Group Orders

We offer flexible purchase options for group ordering. For facility payments, we honor purchase orders, credit cards, or checks. Once your order is placed, we will email you an invoice. Upon request, we can invoice you on a monthly or quarterly basis for your convenience.

You may also opt to have your employees pay for their own order, either online with a credit/debit card or via mail with a check or money order, and still receive the group discount. When individuals are paying by check or money order, mailed orders MUST be submitted as a group - IE all those submitting a check must be mailed in together.

Mail Orders

Submit your order on a printed order form and include any of the following payment types - Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Money Order, Personal or Corporate Check, or Cash (please insure the envelope when including cash). *When submitting credit card information for payment, please be sure to include FULL information of the cardholder.*

Phone or Fax Orders

When submitting your order via fax or telephone, you may use Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. *When submitting an order form via fax, please be sure to include FULL information of the cardholder.*

Online Ordering

All transactions placed on our website are processed through a secure server. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover for online payment. *For security reasons, we DO NOT save credit card information for future purchases.*

Privacy Policy

4CEUINC will never share, sell, or rent any of your personal information that is collected to a 3rd party.

When a profile is created with 4CEUINC we will collect your name, address, phone number, and professional license numbers (if applicable). We will also collect shipping information if a Home Study continuing education course is ordered. For safety & security purposes, billing information & credit card numbers, will be for credit card processing only and WILL NOT be stored in our system for future use.

Any information collected by 4CEUINC as discussed in the above paragraph will be for appropriate processing purposes only, including but not limited to, reporting completed credit to the appropriate licensing agencies, for reporting your continuing education status to your employer if you are part of a group purchase, to process any continuing education orders, or to mail a certificate of completion to you.

Internally, 4CEUINC will also, from time to time, forward marketing materials either via email or through the US mail that will alert you of sales, new courses available, or any important alerts that you may need notification of for your professional license. You may choose to "opt-out" of any of these items by visiting the "Notification Options" section of your online profile and editing it accordingly.

Return Policy

Courses or course packages may be returned or exchanged for up to 30 days from the date of purchase, provided that you have not completed any of the contact hours.

Mailed Courses

Mailed courses can be returned provided that they are in the same new condition that you received them in. Any visible damage - marks, folds, creases, etc. - will disqualify the item from a refund.

When returning a mailed item, please ensure that it is packaged appropriately so that damage does not occur in transit. We recommend that items are insured for an appropriate amount to cover any loss or damages that may occur.

Once we inspect the item to ensure its new condition, we will promptly refund your money minus shipping & handling. A $5.00 restocking fee is also subtracted for courses priced at >$50.

Online Courses

Online courses can be exchanged for another online course of your choosing or you can request a full refund provided that the contact hours were not earned.

Refunds

Refunds are typically processed within 5 business days of receipt of a home study course or 24 hour for an online course. Please Note that it can take up to 7 days for the receiving bank to post the refund for you to see.

Refunds and purchases should appear on your bank statement from Continuing Education Unlimited.

Media rate is slightly slower than first class mail. Allow up to 10 business days for delivery.
PRIORITY MAIL
Priority mail is typically delivered within 2 - 6 business days.
EXPRESS MAIL
USPS Express mail is delivered in 1-2 business days.

  • In stock items are shipped within 3 business days.
  • Express Mail packages are shipped the same day when they are ordered prior to 10am EST (Monday - Friday), otherwise they are shipped the following business day.
